Lok Adalats are organized by the Committee as per Section 19 & 20 under Chapter VI of the Act for deciding pending appeals in motor accident claim cases, pending as well as pre-litigative bank recovery matters, electricity bill disputes, matrimonial cases, DDA and MCD matters etc.



YEAR 2005

• In the year 2005, Lok Adalats were organized on 09.04.2005, 17.04.2005 and 12.11.2005.
• Nationalized bank made recovery of Rs.39, 89,13,616/- (Rupees Thirty Nine Crores Eighty Nine Lacs Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixteen) in the Lok Adalat held for bank cases.
• Similarly, electricity companies recovered Rs.2,88,47,154/-(Rupees Two Crores Eighty Eight Lacs Forty Seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty Four)
• In motor accident claim cases, compensation of Rs.42,56,000/-(Rupees Forty Two Lacs Fifty Six Thousand) was distributed among the heirs of victims of motor accident and the total settlement amount was to the tune of Rs.43,76, 57, 661/-
